Petit Robert Central is my new power lunch spot. Not that I power lunch or anything, but if I did I would go there. My team at work was lucky enough to get taken out to lunch by the VP of marketing and I chose Petit Robert Central as the destination. I’ve had their french onion soup before and it was all I could think about once the weather finally started to get cold. They do their french onion right, and by that I mean they don’t skip out on the cheese. The broth isn’t too dark, it takes the light and buttery approach, which is just fine with me.

Before this particular trip to Petit Robert I had mixed feelings about it. I went once for snacks and drinks and loved it, then dinner and didn’t really love it. Finally I found the sweet spot — week day lunch. It’s the meal that they seem to focus on the most, so naturally it comes out the best.
