Warm, rich and oozing with chocolate. Sigh. I’m so mesmerized by how awesome it is I can barely form sentences. Parish Cafe may only have two desserts on its menu, but that’s really all it needs when you’re serving up one of the best bread puddings in Boston and this – the ice cream cookie sandwich. Just look at it! It looks like an omnomzilla made of cookie dough is devouring that big ball of ice cream. I’d definitely give up dinner any day of the week in exchange for a few bites of this guy. Which is what I did on Wednesday. I know some people claim to be missing the sweet-tooth gene but my god how could you look at this and not want to inhale it instantly? I couldn’t. And I didn’t. That cookie sandwich didn’t stand a chance.

Funny, earlier this week I was just lamenting Boston’s lack of good ice cream sandwiches. I might have to check this out, though it looks a tad light on the ice cream. I prefer a higher ice cream to cookie ratio.
Elizabeth, I could’t agree more! I always want more ice cream when eating rich desserts. And you’re right, I did feel like it could have used a little more ice cream towards the end but ughh still so good.
